What Is a Counter Scale?
A counter scale, also called a table top or bench scale, is a compact digital weighing machine that sits on a shop counter or workbench. Most counter scales for sale in Kenya weigh from 3 kg to 30 kg and include tare, unit-price or counting functions. Frequently asked questions
Table top/ Counter ScaleS
What is the best counter scale for a butchery in Kenya?
For a busy butchery, choose a waterproof stainless steel counter scale or a price computing scale with tare and a rechargeable battery. We recommend the Aclas PS6X for its rugged build, and the Super SS IP68 for hosed-down areas.
How much does a digital counter scale cost in Kenya?
Prices depend on capacity, accuracy, material and IP rating. Standard plastic table top scales cost less than stainless IP68 models. Call or WhatsApp +254 743 233223 for today’s prices.
What is the difference between a counting scale and a price computing scale?
A counting scale converts weight into piece count, so it suits stock and spare parts. A price computing scale multiplies weight by unit price to show the total, so it suits shop counters.
What does IP68 mean on a weighing scale?
IP68 means the casing is dust-tight and sealed against continuous water immersion as specified by the manufacturer. It suits fish stalls, butcheries and wash-down areas.
How often should a counter scale be calibrated?
Calibrate at least once a year, and after any repair, drop or relocation. Busy trading scales may need checking more often.
